How to read a Kakobuy notice before you trust it
Six habits that take a minute each. They come from reading every entry in the operator's list side by side, and from the mistakes that list makes easy.
Open the detail page to get the year
The list prints "Release time: 06-23 02:21:26". The detail page prints "2026-06-23 02:21:26". For any notice that matters to a payment, open it and read the full date under the headline. It takes one click and removes the most common misreading on the site: taking a 2024 or 2025 notice for this month's.
While you are there, note the clock time. Kakobuy publishes many notices late in the Beijing evening or early morning: 21:47, 00:54, 02:21. A notice published at 00:54 on 1 July Beijing time appeared on the afternoon of 30 June in New York. If a window is short, the publish time tells you how much of it you might already have missed.
Finally, scroll to the bottom. Exit clauses, use-by dates and eligibility exclusions usually sit after the headline offer.
Convert Beijing time before you count days
Kakobuy states windows in Beijing time, written as "Beijing Time", "GMT+8" or, on the site's sidebar clock, "UTC+8". All three mean the same offset, eight hours ahead of UTC, with no daylight saving. Practical consequences for common buyer locations:
- United Kingdom: a window ending at midnight on the 16th Beijing time ends at 17:00 on the 16th in British Summer Time, or 16:00 in winter.
- Central Europe: 18:00 on the 16th in summer, 17:00 in winter.
- US East Coast: noon on the 16th in summer, 11:00 in winter.
- US West Coast: 09:00 on the 16th in summer, 08:00 in winter.
Notices rarely state the clock time a window ends. We assume the end of the stated day in Beijing time, and we advise paying a few hours earlier than that. The date probe on the calendar counts in Beijing days for the same reason.
Date a banner by its upload folder
Banners carry no dates, but their images do, indirectly. Kakobuy serves banner images from folders named after the upload day. The "Invite Friends" banner above lives in a folder from 2025-11-26, which is why it has snowflakes and a Santa hat in October 2026. The Discord banner is from 2026-01-31, the "register to 3000" banner from 2026-02-01, and the Halloween coupon pack banner from 2026-10-09, the same evening the festival notice went up.
You do not need to dig through image addresses yourself. The point is the principle: a banner tells you an offer exists in some form, not that the terms in the picture are current. Click through to the dated notice it belongs to. If there is none, treat the banner as decoration.
Statements that never reach the list
A service statement dated 2026-08-30, about an attack on Kakobuy's servers and website, circulated after that date. When we read the operator's announcement list on 10 October 2026, it was not there. We cannot verify its wording from the operator's own pages, so we do not quote it, and we file it in the calendar as unverified.
The lesson is general. The list is a curated set, not a complete record: it dropped a June festival and an earlier notice about QC image problems, and it may never carry some statements at all. If you hear of an operator notice that you cannot find in the list, ask support through the contact page. How to choose a spreadsheet site: check its dates first
Most spreadsheet sites list finds and coupon codes with no dates. That is fine for a product photo and useless for a promotion. A simple test before you trust any spreadsheet site, including this one:
- Does every promotion it mentions carry the date of the operator notice it came from?
- Does it show when it last checked that notice?
- Does it mark ended promotions as ended, or quietly keep selling them?
- Do its product links still open live listings, or do half of them land on removed items?
- Does it name who runs it and give a way to reach them?

Community feedback: what shoppers say, and who pays for it
Reddit threads, YouTube hauls and TikTok videos are where buyers report real experiences: a line that took three weeks longer than quoted, a coupon refused at checkout, a parcel stuck at customs. The official Kakobuy subreddit, created on 31 October 2024, was recorded at about 21,000 members in the 10 October 2026 research snapshot, and the operator also runs a Discord server linked from its home page.
Read those posts with one fact in mind. Kakobuy's own help centre explains how to earn rewards for posts and videos, including adding Kakobuy hashtags and sharing purchase links with QC photos on Reddit. Some glowing hauls are paid in account credit. That does not make them false, but it does make dates and specifics the thing to look for: which line, which week, which notice.
When a community report contradicts a notice, compare dates, destination, line and eligibility. Recency alone does not establish which claim applies to your parcel; ask the operator to clarify the specific terms.

Keep the notice URL, full publication date, relevant clause and account checkout result. The upload folder can help investigate an image’s history, but cannot prove when the advertised offer starts or ends.
